You’re Welcome, Internet | February 13-17, 2012

Hey folks, we just wanted to thank all of you for coming out to our screening of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World on Valentine’s Day. It was a lot of fun and a great experience, and we owe thanks to Erin Fraser and Matt Bowes as well. And now, back to your regularly-scheduled sex pictures.
You’re welcome, Internet.

LEASK: It’s been an admittedly slow week for content here at C!TB, but I like to think it’s been an a pretty good week for content nonetheless. I’m especially pleased at the big response we’ve seen for BEE TALK with Alejandro Arbona, because that was so much fun and unbelievably rewarding, speaking as someone with bee curtains and 7 different types of honey. Between the screening we co-presented and seeing an advance screening of another movie for an appearance we’re making on another podcast, it’s been a pretty busy week ahead of the site and I’m looking forward to a long weekend filled with comics and, if I can get my PS3 back from the theatre, some more of Ken Burns‘ Baseball. I am… nothing if not predictable.
What do you have going for your glistening self this weekend, B-Shot (I am trying out new nicknames)?
SCHATZ: Whelp, my special lady friend and I will be celebrating an anniversary, so that’ll be good. Also, we just fired up the twitter for a group that SHOULD unite Edmonton’s geeks. Seriously, there’s some bad blood up here, mostly because of old wars between comic shop owners, and it’s bled into the nerd culture. Which makes things a little toxic. Anywhey, that’ll be churning this weekend and beyond. And, uh… other than that, I dunno. I feel like reading some comics this weekend, so I’ll probably do that!
See you on Monday, muchachos!
You have been reading Comics! The Blog. This concludes our broadcast week.
