You're Welcome, Internet | August 15-19, 2011

Steven Alan Gorbachev wants your eyes.

Hullo there, internet! How are you on this fine afternoon? Oh? Really? That bad? But you know, there’s more to life than whether or not we here at C!TB deliver five feature articles in a week. You have so much else to live for! Go out! Live! Enjoy the rest of today and rejoice: there will be a new feature after hours today.

You’re welcome, Internet.

HOW DO I NOT HAVE ONE OF THESE?

Don't worry, it's cool, everybody. Just eat around the Doritos.

This is just confusing, though Samus has great legs for a dude.

SCHATZ:

LEASK: Brandon is pretty overwhelmed with stuff to do right now - spearheading a giant midnight release party for Flashpoint #5 and Justice League #1 at his store is just the beginning of his to-do list - but never fear! It is I, your friendly neighborhood other person, to the rescue!

Um…

What does he usually do again? I know I usually talk about how I’m tired and want to go home and have a nice relaxing evening or something, while Brandon talks about how things are great and all the great things he’s doing in the wide world of comics retail. But besides helping out with his shindig, I’m pretty firmly on the “read comics and love them” side of things, so… read good comics! Love them! You feel me?

In all seriousness, we got some great love this week from such incredible creators as Kelly Sue DeConnick and Becky Cloonan, and that feels nice! It’s still weird to think that anybody at all reads these words that I straight up fugue onto the page. Seriously, I have been running on somewhere between 2.5-5 hours of sleep per night (excepting the occasional crash, of course) for about 6 years now, so let’s just say it’s a miracle that the words “DONG SALAD” aren’t just appearing randomly in my articles at this point. It’s a very real possibility every single time I start writing at 2am.

What was I saying, again? Oh, right. I miss Brandon. Come back, sweet prince! You still have more Doctor Who to watch before my party next week!

You have been reading Comics! The Blog. This concludes our broadcast week.
